SALARY: $45,000 - $80,000

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: This position is located at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), an international leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world. The EERC offers opportunities to people with an exceptional work attitude, dedication to high professional standards and commitment to personal development. We are looking for experienced aggressive, scientifically trained, and market-oriented individuals to contribute to the success of the organization by performing the following essential functions: developing geophysical models of the subsurface and running dynamic simulations to determine the long-term fate of produced/injected fluids, including hydrocarbons C02, and brine, using oil and gas industry simulation software. CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering, simulation engineering, environmental engineering, geological engineering, chemical engineering or related engineering or geosciences field. Experience running predictive simulations to determine fluid flow, geochemical reactions, and geomechanical interaction in the subsurface. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience using Schlumberger's ECLIPSE and Petrel and Computing Modeling Group's GEM software packages and other numerical simulation packages. Modeling and simulating CO² storage in the subsurface. Knowledge and understanding of CO² enhanced oil recovery. Experience working in Williston, Denver-Julesberg, Powder River and Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin's petroleum industry a plus.
